Role/Function:

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for a team of Inventory Control Analysts and oversees the execution and quality of all inventory procedures in order to maintain an accurate inventory. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a high level of analytical and problem solving skills as it relates to inventory accuracy and the impact on the overall business.

  • Responsible for a team of Inventory Control Analysts to monitor all aspects of inventory including: accuracy of inventory transfers, adjustments, receiving, and cycle counting.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the physical inventory counts of branches and plants.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the cycle counts of branches and plants.
  • Compile results, reconcile, analyze and report on physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Conduct audits of counts, analyze results and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Report on inventory activities, changes and variances, including trends and analysis.
  • Resolve inventory issues and discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issues.
  • Develop reports, inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory control practices and procedures and develop continuous improvement programs.
  • Ensure Company policies with respect to inventory, returns, receiving, shipping, samples and damages are adhered to.
  • Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to increase the operating efficiency of the business.
  • Communicate effectively between cross functional teams and management.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in inventory control or similar.
  • 2 – 3 years managerial or supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with ERP and warehouse management systems and processes an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a positive attitude, with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Available to work variable hours as needed.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
